Bloom is currently working at WWE in Orlando, FL, as the head trainer at WWE Performance Center, where he serves as the head trainer. From January 2014- August 7, Matt worked as a commentator for WWE’s NXT, where he served under the name Jason Albert. On August 7, 2014, he announced that he would resume his teaching profession and work as a trainer in WWE Performance Center. After one year of service as a trainer, Matt was promoted to serve as NXT’s head trainer.

From 2002-2004, Matt wrestled in the WWE under the alias A-Train where he challenged for the WWE Championship at SmackDown’s brand-exclusive Royal Rumble in the year 2004. He was later eliminated by Eddie Guerrero before he was traded to WWE RAW on March 22, 2004.

On June 7, 2014, Bloom made his debut at WWE RAW but had his last match at WWE Heat. He was therefore defeated by Val Venis before he was released from his WWE contract on November 1, 2004. Later on, Bloom returned to WWE in 2012 and made an appearance in the 19th March episode of WWE Raw under the alias ring name, Lord Tensai. During his return, he started winning and beating lower rated wrestlers and stars such as John Cena and CM Punk.

He opted to drop the name Lord and Japanese outfit, which proved a bad omen. In 2012, Matt started frequently losing, therefore losing hope in wrestling. His wrestling companion Sakamoto who stopped accompanying him to the ring.

Due to his frequent failures, Santino Marella started making fun of Matt after he not only called him Tensai a “Fat Albert” but also defeated him in the following match. Tensai formed a tag team with his fellow WWE wrestler Brodus Clay in 2013. Tensai and Clay’s team went ahead to defeat other accomplished tag teams in the WWE before they announced their official team name ‘Tons of Funk‘ on the March 27 episode.
