Eric started as a news reporter at NTV after graduation before meeting Daniel Ndambuki in 2006 who hosted the comedy show, Churchill Show, where Eric started starring in 2008. His comic show named Hawayuni entertained millions of people creating massive followers on social networks. In 2015, Eric left Churchill show and started own show aired on KTN which did not last long. He was featured in Somewhere in Africa and Untamed, which he did.
In 2020, Omondi introduced a show, Wife Material, first season which was full of controversy with its first season ending with the episode, Wedding with Band Beca’s Carol.
