CORTEZ SMITH BIOGRAPHY

Cortez is an actor from Chicago. He was born in Chicago.He is known for his role as Nuck in The Chi. in contrast of his role in The Chi, he is a model, a fashion designer and an activist in his community.

Early Life

He gives credit to his late grandmother and community who led him to acting at the age of sixteen. He grew up in a community with gangster vibes and for his success in his career he had to move to another neighbourhood.

He was signed into an agency after entering a talent competition. He was encouraged by a coworker to do modelling.

Career

In 2015 he got his minor role in the film “Chi-Raq”. He later joined ‘The Chi’ where he has a major role since 2019 (as Nuck). His role as a ganster has led him to various opportunities

Personal Life

Inorder to detach from his character as Nuck, he uses other activities and including family time to detach the dark side. Recognition by fans gives him a platform to inspire  positive impacts in their lives.

Achievements

He is a founder of a fashion brand ‘Eros Christian’. He also is a community activist including YMCA to mentor youths.
