                       CURTISS COOK BIOGRAPHY

Curtiss was born on October 2, 1998. He is an American actor. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, USA. Known for his role in The Chi as Douda. Best known for his role in The Chi.

 

Early Life

Of five siblings(Cameron, Renae, Clifton Jr and Chatauqua) he is the eldest. His parents (Alice Rena ‘Shang’ and Clifton Cook Sr) were public school teachers. He went to Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts whis is UK’s  best drama school. He was the first American to receive a scholarship to the UK’s best drama school. He used to dance at his early teenage and even went to dance with Dyton Contemporary Dance Company.

Career

He showed interest in acting ever since he were a kid. He even joined drama when in 7th grade.His highschool teacher, Patricia Copland supported him due to his dedication in Arts and his interests finally grew due to a non-profitable organisation that supports, Muse Machine, which helps students in exploring the creative world. He never saw himself acting as he wanted to join the US Navy.

Cook had to move to New York to begin his career this is after his college. He began by performing on Broadway. He showed in Disney films which are: The Lion King and Miss Saigon. He has also thereafter appeared in films such as:The Chi, Manifest, House of Cards, Narcos and Luke Cage.

He has also lent his voice in the Grand Theft Auto 4

Personal Life

He has a total of 5 children with the last 2 of whom are twins. He had his first 3 children(Curtiss Jr, Isis and KImani Cook) from his relationship. Cook is married to Angelica Edwards with whom they have their twins Harlem and Jade Cook.
