In 2006, Eliud Kipchoge won bronze in the Indoor at World Championship in Moscow. He also won a Silver Medal in the 2007 World Championship in 5000m race at Osaka, taking 13:46:00 to complete the race. He was defeated by a fellow Kenyan Bernard Lagat, who completed the race after13:45:87.
