As a journalist, Shaw has covered many West Michigan news events over the years. This news includes including the death of President Gerald R. Ford and his wife, First Lady Betty Ford. She also alerts viewers with life, breaking news daily. She has been involved in decades of election nights, such as the election of Michigan’s first female governor, Jennifer Granholm, as well as the elections of Governor Rick Snyder.
In October 1994, Shaw served for WNEM TV5 in the Saginaw/Flint/Bay City/Midland area as the main news anchor for the 6 p.m. & 11 p.m. newscasts. Before that, she served for stations like WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, WEYI-TV25 in Flint, and WWTV 9&10 in Cadillac.
